Reiki Healing is an ancient hands-on healing modality that works on physical, mental, and emotional levels to restore the body’s natural state of vibrant health and well-being. By bringing the body into a deep state of relaxation, regulating the nervous system, and directing the flow of life force energy, we can clear blockages throughout the layers of the subtle body (the auric field) and energy centers (chakras) before they become rooted in the physical body, creating disease and disharmony.
During your initiation into the Usui Reiki lineage and teachings, you’ll learn what Reiki is, how it works, how to work with energy for self-healing, and how to share Reiki with friends and family. We’ll also cover a brief history, the 7 main chakras, how to create sacred space, and how to protect and ground yourself.
We’ll also explore some Shamanic elements that you can incorporate to create a more well-rounded and grounded practice.
This course is designed for those who want to learn Reiki as a self-healing practice and share it with friends and family.

The Teacher
Julia Coban
Julia is a Reiki Master + Teacher, Yogini, Somatic Practitioner + Mentor
What began as a love for asana 18 years ago blossomed into an exploration of the more subtle aspects of yoga and the healing arts - including Ayurveda, Tantra, somatics, energy medicine + sound.
Through her studies, as well as her own healing journey and work with mentors + healers, Julia experienced the deep, innate intelligence that resides within the body. She discovered the capacity to heal the disconnect between body, mind and spirit by going within and listening with curiosity and compassion. Inspired by her work with one of her mentors, she also began to use her voice as a spiritual practice. This opened a gateway for even deeper layers of healing, for authentic self-expression, for reclamation of her voice, her sovereignty and her power.
Through her embodied teachings and compassionate presence, Julia supports others on a journey of reclaiming what they have forgotten. She holds sacred space for remembering their inherent worth and integration of all aspects of themselves, using practices that cultivate self-trust, healthy boundaries + radical self-compassion.
