Breathucation Fundamentals Facilitator Training
Do you want to deepen your understanding of the breath and become a breathwork facilitator?
Join the 10-day Breathucation Immersion in the heart of beautiful Bali, where you'll explore the power of breath through a rich blend of theory, practice, co-learning, and personal growth.
What is Breathucation about?
-
Understanding the biology of breathing:
By understanding the principles behind breathing, you can determine which type of breathing is most beneficial for yourself or your client(s). Therefore, we will cover a significant amount of theory on biomechanics and biochemistry to provide you with the foundational knowledge related to ventilation and respiration.
-
Building a comprehensive toolbox of breathing techniques:
There is no single best technique that works for everyone. By ensuring you have a wide variety of modalities in your toolbox, you can choose the most appropriate technique for each specific moment. Working with clients is always a journey of trying different approaches and observing whether they achieve the desired outcome. If not, you have the flexibility to try something else because you’ve learned numerous techniques.
-
Working with groups and individuals:
You will learn techniques that can be applied to both individuals and groups. If you wish to lead breathing circles or conduct workshops, different modalities will be more applicable compared to working with a single client who has unique needs.
-
Learning to tune in and facilitate what is needed:
It is crucial to understand the role we play as facilitators. When listening to a client or guiding a group, it is important to be clear and honest about what you can and cannot provide. How do you tune in and deliver what is needed without letting your ego or personal agenda interfere?
-
Undergoing your own process of shedding unhelpful layers:
To create a safe space and effectively support your clients, it is important to “do your own work". During the 7-day immersion, you will experience firsthand what the different techniques can do for you. Often, a week like this leads to significant breakthroughs for those involved.
-
Discovering how to apply breathing techniques in your job or practice:
In one-on-one practice sessions, you can explore how to incorporate breathwork into your work, life, or practice.

Dirk Hamelijnck
At just 17 years old, Dirk was already guiding people through the white-water rivers in France. From a young age, Dirk had a deep love for nature, which led him to start working as an outdoor instructor early on. Whether it was scaling steep walls, descending cold waterfalls, or canoeing in fast-moving rivers, it was natural for him to coach participants through these challenges.
Dirk’s love for nature, the human body, and coaching inspired him to attend college to become a P.E. teacher. He worked at a school in the Netherlands for 24 years as a teacher, mentor, and teacher trainer.
In 2016, to deepen his understanding of human abilities and support his own personal growth, Dirk enrolled in the official Wim Hof instructor course. This experience opened up new ways of exploring nature. Our inner nature. With great enthusiasm, Dirk went on to study many more modalities in the realm of body-mind connection. Courses in various forms of breathwork, biohacking, meditation, and TRE helped him grow as a father, teacher, and partner, resulting in a stronger relationship with himself.
In 2023, Dirk moved to Bali with his wife and daughter, giving their daughter the opportunity to discover her true self outside of a rigid school system. This decision turned out to be a great success.
In Bali, Dirk had the opportunity to fully focus on breathwork and related modalities for personal growth, such as facilitating ice baths and sweat lodges. During his weekly breathwork classes in Ubud and Canggu, many people expressed interest in learning Dirk’s holistic approach to using breath as a tool for well-being.
